Author Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Data Science and Informatics Engineering (JoDSIE) should follow the guidelines below:
1. General Requirements
- The manuscript must be original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Manuscripts should be written in English using clear and concise academic language.
- Submissions must be prepared in Microsoft Word (DOC/DOCX) or OpenDocument (ODT) format.
2. Manuscript Structure
- Title: Concise and informative, with a maximum of 20 words.
- Abstract: 150–250 words, including research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Keywords: 3–5 keywords that reflect the main topics of the article.
- Introduction: Background, research problem, objectives, and contribution.
- Related Work / Literature Review: Relevant theories and previous studies.
- Methods: Detailed explanation of research methodology or experiment design.
- Results and Discussion: Findings of the research with proper analysis.
- Conclusion: Summary of results, contributions, and future work.
- References: Must follow APA style (7th edition), preferably using a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).
3. Formatting Guidelines
- Paper size: A4, single column, margin 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, single spacing.
- Figures and tables must be clear, properly numbered, and placed in the text close to where they are referenced.
- Equations should be numbered sequentially.
4. Submission Process
- Authors must register and log in through the journal’s online submission system.
- Each manuscript will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Authors are encouraged to check the Submission Preparation Checklist before submission.
5. Plagiarism Policy
- All submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software.
- Manuscripts with more than 20% similarity index will be automatically rejected.
