JoDSIE charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 100,000 for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication.
The APC contributes to the operational and publication costs associated with manuscript processing, editorial management, peer-review administration, copyediting, layout preparation, online publication, and maintenance of the journal's publishing infrastructure.
When Is the APC Charged?
Submission
No APC payment is required at the initial manuscript submission stage.
Peer Review
Manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review according to the journal's peer-review policy.
Acceptance
The APC becomes payable only after the manuscript has received an editorial acceptance decision.
What Does the APC Support?
Editorial Independence
Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the academic evaluation of a manuscript. Acceptance is determined solely on the basis of the journal's editorial policies, peer-review process, scholarly quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
No APC at Submission
Authors are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge when submitting a manuscript. The APC is applicable only to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication.
